The Sept. 15 issue of the Insurance Journal contained the basic results of a national survey conducted among insurance agents about the relationships they have with the carriers they represent. Although the agents surveyed sold multiple insurance lines, not just workers' compensation, the results could still be applied to BrickStreet.

- Underwriting responsiveness, flexibility, decision authority
- Underwriting knowledge / expertise
- Financial strength / rating
