Michael A. Fioravante is a 1978 graduate of West Virginia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer having worked in or around the coal industry for over 29 years.

Fioravante is familiar with all types of underground and surface mining operations to include all ancillary type operations. He is a member of the Charleston Emergency Response Team as a first responder to all types on emergencies.
