BrickStreet offers safety seminars on a variety of topics, such as Defensive Driving and Forklift Train-the-Trainer. These seminars are free of charge to all BrickStreet policyholders. Advance registration is required.

The next Defensive Driving course will be on Sept. 22, 8 a.m. - Noon at the BrickStreet corporate headquarters, 400 Quarrier Street in Charleston. Its goal is to provide professional truck drivers with the knowledge and defensive driving strategies required for driving collision and citation-free. The course focuses on collision prevention through hazard recognition and application of collision avoidance techniques.

There will also be a Forklift Training overview course offered on Sept. 22, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m., also at 400 Quarrier Street in Charleston. The course is designed for managers, team leaders, safety trainers, safety committee members or other employees with safety responsibilities. We present a two-to-three hour session that covers OSHA standards, operator training requirements, powered industrial truck classifications, general operating principles, powered industrial truck operations, and maintenance requirements. The participants are trained so that they can return to their workplace and train other employees. They also are able to create and maintain a Forklift Program for their facility.
