BrickStreet will be presenting a day-long seminar titled "Best Practices in Compensation Management for the Health Care Industry." The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at BrickStreet's corporate headquarters in Charleston.

The morning portion of the seminar will cover incident reporting, claims handling, accident investigation, return to work, modified duty, settlements, and following the cycle of a claim. The afternoon session will focus on the best practices of patient handling, following care plans, disciplinary policies, combative residents and ergonomics.

Patient handling issues account for 52 percent of injuries in the health care industry.

The seminar will benefit human resource professionals, safety directors, employee health nurses, or those who work at a facility that provides training or that handles or comes in contact with the injured worker.
