Supporting Community Events

BrickStreet is proud to continue serving West Virginia communities and to help make a positive difference in the lives of many West Virginians through our volunteer efforts. BrickStreet's continual support for our communities is possible by our employees' participation in a wide variety of events.

March of Dimes Babies Walk
On Sunday, April 27, BrickStreet sponsored and participated in the March for Babies™ 3-mile walk held at the State Capitol Complex to help benefit the March of Dimes®. We had 27 employees registered to walk, and raised over $2,100 for the local March of Dimes Chapter.

The March of Dimes® has helped protect the health of babies through: funded research that led to the prevention of polio; promotions about the benefits of folic acid and other prenatal vitamins taken to reduce the risk of birth defects; and efforts to require lifesaving newborn screenings. With our help, they will help find the causes of premature birth and develop ways to prevent it.

Race for the Cure
On Saturday, May 3, BrickStreet participated in the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure event held at the State Capitol. Seventy-seven people represented the BrickStreet team and raised $2,018 for the fight against breast cancer.

Great Strides Walk
This Saturday, May 17, BrickStreet will take part in the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation's Great Strides Walk at Kanawha State Forest in Charleston.

Great Strides is the foundation's largest fund-raising event, where co-workers, friends and family come together as one community for a cause – to help raise money and find a cure for CF. Approximately 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward vital CF research and programs.
