As part of our commitment to keep you fully informed about issues that affect your workers' compensation coverage, BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company would like to draw your attention to a mandated change that may impact policy premiums for partnerships, sole proprietors and limited liability corporations.
As you are aware, the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) has established new loss cost rates for all employer classifications as of July 1. These rates, approved by the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner, must be applied by all workers' compensation insurance carriers when pricing individual policies and must be applied mid-term to inforce policies.
A provision of the NCCI filing increases the wage level used to calculate the portion of policy premium that covers partners and sole proprietors. The approved premium determination increases from $32,000 to $33,100 for new and renewal policies effective on or after July 1.
If you have questions concerning this change, please contact your local BrickStreet agent or a BrickStreet customer service representative at 866-45BRICK.
