Early Reporting 

In the next few weeks, all BrickStreet policyholders will receive in the mail a valuable tool to help you manage workers' compensation claims for your employees, and to help you keep your overall premium costs down.

The Early Claim Reporting brochure provides you with a variety of methods to quickly and effectively report a claim to BrickStreet should an employee sustain a work-related injury or illness. However, the preferred and most effective method of reporting is to call BrickStreet at 1.866.45BRICK.

Our goal is to reduce the average time it takes a policyholder to report a claim to BrickStreet to less than five days, as required by state law. Ideally, as the phone sticker that is included in the brochure indicates, we’d like to be informed within 24 hours. Telephone filing helps ensure this goal is met.

Early reporting helps the policyholder by keeping claim costs down. It helps the injured worker by allowing BrickStreet claims professionals to start claims management activities as soon as possible. And it helps the system by preventing all of the problems associated with an unmanaged claim.
