As described in the last issue, we are taking the next few issues to profile our new business teams and further explain how our commitment to you impacts your daily business.
Last time, we introduced our three Standard Accounts teams. In this issue, we would like to introduce our Small Accounts team.
The Small Accounts team, led by Business Director Hope Fallen, is responsible for all policyholders whose annual premium is less than $10,000 and not a coal or government account, regardless of location in the state.
This team provides services in the underwriting, claims, safety and loss control, premium audit, nurse case management and return-to-work fields.
Similar to the rest of the business teams, the Small Accounts team is dedicated to providing exemplary customer service, which is what our customers expect and deserve.
For this team, however, this commitment holds a unique challenge. At times, small business owners in West Virginia can be hard to reach as they are working on other projects. These policyholders usually do not have staff specialized in safety, human resources or accounting to help them understand workers' compensation and the many programs or training opportunities that we offer. It is up to this team to deliver focused information in familiar terms, frequently on a strict timetable established by the policyholder’s need to progress to other tasks quickly.
